Wo steht geschrieben, dass die Dunkle Seite nicht auch Pop-Appeal haben darf? Blutengel, die Band um den charismatischen Frontmann Chris Pohl, hat es seit jeher verstanden, düster-romantische Themen eingängig zu verpacken. So ist auch der Titeltrack der neuen Single, ?Lucifer?, ein unwiderstehlicher Ohrwurm, der Weltschmerz mit einer gefühlvollen Melodie und tanzbaren Beats kombiniert. Getragen von dem Blutengel-typischen Wechselspiel der kraftvollen, dunklen Männerstimme von Chris Pohl und den himmlischen Harmoniegesängen von Ulrike Goldmann, zaubert die Band eine weitere Clubhymne mit Gänsehaut-Garantie aus dem Hut. Blutengel gelingt es, den Gothic Spirit auch weit über die Grenzen der schwarz gewandeten Szene hinaus salonfähig zu machen ? und so verwundert es auch nicht, dass schon seit langer Zeit jeder Veröffentlichung der Düster-Pop-Band ein Einstieg in die deutschen Media Control Charts sicher ist. ?Lucifer? erscheint in zwei verschiedenen Versionen, ?Purgatory? und ?Blaze? – mit dem Titeltrack, je einem Remix, je einer exklusiven Neuinterpretation eines Blutengel-Hits (u.a. einer Neuaufnahme des ultra-raren ?Black Roses?), und je zwei live- Klassikern. Who is saying that the dark side cannot have pop appeal? Blutengel, with their charismatic front man and mastermind Chris Pohl have always been experts at wrapping dark romantic themes in a catchy electronic packaging. The title track of their latest single, ?Lucifer?, is no exception ? an addictive track that combines gloomy lyrics with an emotional melody and massive beats that are suitable for any dance floor. Driven by the exciting interplay of Chris Pohl?s powerful dark voice and the heavenly chanting of Ulrike Goldmann, the group conjures up a club anthem that is destined to give you goose bumps. Blutengel are again highly successful at reaching out far beyond the limits of the so-called ?gothic scene? ? it is hardly any wonder that their releases are hitting the German Media Control Charts on a regular basis. ?Lucifer? will be released in two different versions, titled ?Purgatory? and ?Blaze.?
