The gig in cologne was the only one in NRW on this leg of Welle:Erdball’s "Total Chaos Tour 2007" and so the Live Music Hall was well visited and some hundreds of fans came to party with their Commodore-64 heroes. The set was filled with songs of their latest Radioshow "Chaos Total", but also contained lots of hits from the band’s long history, including songs like "Starfighter F104g", "Arbeit Adelt", "23", Monoton & Minimal", "Schweben, Fliegen und Fallen" and "Contergan" which has currently been more topical than ever, thanks to a german tv-movie that was aired some weeks ago. Another surprise was that dancer Pastique sang a song called "Ich Bin Aus Plastik" all by herself, she seemed a little nervous but that made her seem even more sympathetic. As usual Welle:Erdball did without an opening band so that they had the chance to extend their own gig and so even after two hours noone really though about stopping the gig, even though the band had already came back some times for encores. The evening turned into a big party as usual although I have to say that some of the announcements might need some kind of make-over. For too long in the past singer Honey has made the same speeches to the various songs. But that didn’t keep anyone from enjoying themselves and that is all that counts.
